Please review the following requirements to make sure you get the best possible results.

  • Make sure your batting and backing are larger than your quilt top by at least 3” on all sides. If your quilt top is 60”x60”, your backing should be 66”x66”.

  • Square up your backing fabric so there are no uneven edges.

  • Backing seams should be horizontal and pressed open if possible, with the selvedges removed.

  • Label the top of your quilt top and backing with a note and/or a pin.

  • Give your quilt top and backing a fresh press before mailing or dropping off.

  • Clip loose threads, especially dark threads that may show through white fabric.

  • Include your binding fabric with your quilt top and backing, if desired. Make sure that it is clearly labelled.

  • If you are shipping your quilt, fold your quilt top, backing, and batting separately. Place them in a plastic bag inside the mailing packaging.
